Canon EOS 1300D 18MP Digital SLR Camera Body (Black)
Canon EOS 1300D 18MP Digital SLR Camera Body (Black) details below
The Canon EOS 1300D is an easy-to-use, entry-level Digital SLR with an 18 megapixel APS-C-size sensor. The 1300D is the successor to the EOS 1200D. It upgrades with a faster Digic 4+ processor, higher resolution 3-inch LCD screen, plus built-in Wi-Fi with NFC so you can easily connect and share your images with the world. The EOS 1300D retains the 9-point AF system, Full HD video capture and numerous scene and creative modes as its predecessor.
Brilliant entry level camera. Bought this for my better half as she wanted to get into photography. Has all the features needed and will be a while before she needs to upgrade. I am very new to photography. I'm just a amateur photographer studying photography A-level and I needed a solid, simple camera to get me through. I also decided I wanted to step up my game and go for a DSLR. I chose the Canon 1300D.
By owning this camera, not only have I taken some pretty smashing pictures but I have learnt so much more about photography. I now always shoot on manual, have a fantastic knowledge of how a camera works and how a DSLR works and that, in effect, has also upped the output of my photographs. This camera has allowed me to learn while using it and I have sure done that.
The camera itself:
Alright, I’m not going to go through the specs because Amazon have put them up above, however, I will say that this camera is fantastic for a beginner or amateur photographer wanting to learn how to use a DSLR in the simplest way possible. It is built for those people and it functions perfectly. This piece of kit can take really astonishing photos by shooting on RAW you can take fantastic pictures to develop afterwards. When this camera arrived (one day after purchase, yay) I was astonished by the quality of the photographs. 18MP can go a long way. This is such a good purchase for the price.
I really have to say that this camera is amazing in its quality and structure. It's sturdy and slightly weighty (which is what I think makes it look like such a high quality camera). It is so much fun going out with this piece of equipment and really gives me more of an incentive to go out on random walks.
There are so many amazing creative effects such as;
-A Fish-eye Effect
-A Toy Camera Effect
-A black and white filter
And a few more.
You can also change the aperture, shutter speed, and also, the coloring/filter of the image so that it suits the lighting ad your surroundings. Both the auto focus and the manual focus work incredibly well and give you the ability to capture crisp and sharp images- not to mention the various options available (portraiture, night portrait, landscape, sports, food. Etc).
Bought a lens with this camera for better practice, is a kit lens and is alright. It is versatile and also fits the description. It is light-weight which also helps for traveling. It ranges from 18-55mm which is about the average amount for relatively simple photography. It’s relatively sharp
Cons with this camera. Doesn’t have a touch screen or a flip-out LCD screen but those aren’t really that important and are sort of gimmicky. The auto-focus on video is quite slow which is a bit of a pain but you can use it with Manuel but unfortunately the lens it makes a terrible noise when focusing through video.
Apart from these small things, this camera is suited for a huge amount of people who want to get into DSLR photography. It is simple and that works in its advantage. It also has a nice WiFi feature which means you can control the camera with your phone. That’s pretty nifty. You can learn with this camera and still take great pictures. It’s also simple enough to get your head around using and it is at a fantastic price.
I personally love this camera after my a month of usage. I’m also still learning the best ways to take photos with it.
I would gladly recommend to anyone who is either starting out in photography or even someone who's been taking photographs for a while. This really is a stunning price of equipment!
