BSNL Employees to Go on Indefinite Strike From December 3
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) employees union would go on an indefinite strike from December 3 over non-issuance of the third pay revision.
In a letter to Union Communications Minister Manoj Sinha on November 28 (Wednesday), the union looked for a dimension playing field for the organization in contrast with different players in the telecom segment.
"A huge number of specialists (Non-Executives and Executives of BSNL) are resigning each month. Normally, issues of their third pay revision are as yet pending in spite of clear responsibility given to them in that regard and that has created serious hatred among them," said the letter.
It further stated: "They are expecting somewhere around 15 percent upgrade/fitment in pay and payment of annuity commitment by BSNL and revision of benefits to BSNL retirees with impact from 01.01.2017, as made accessible to various open part employees and officers."
The worker's union additionally looked for the allotment of 4G spectrum to BSNL.
Further, the Center of Indian Trade Union in an announcement discharged in help of the requests said that the allotment of 4G spectrum to BSNL "is as a rule purposely deferred by the government to enable favorable position to private telecom administrators at the expense of BSNL."
