Design and hardware

Since launching Xiaomi Ball with Mac Mix in early 2010, the smartphone industry has made a mission to eliminate the bases as much as possible. Whenever Micix Mix eliminates its dinner sensor and shows almost any aspect of the auto professional camera movements, then Apple decides that it is extremely radical and the notes are compromised for compromise, and everyone agrees that there was a way to do this.

Vivo Nex is the first phone to settle for Sophie sorting sensor or groove. It's done using customized artisans that have thrown everything under the display.

Vivo has abandoned the groove by putting the camera moving and sensing most sensors underneath the display in a module that pops up from the top of the device. Photo: Ben Sin
Unlimited sensors, fingerprint readers and 8-megapixel independent camera modules are in the handset, with the first two embedded and camera modules behind the OLED display panel directly as a pop-up component on the phone. There is no traditional earpiece; Instead, the Nex uses the bone to manage the technology to vibrate the sound through your ear screen.

If all of this seems predictable, the rest are not sure that most are. In-display fingerprint scanning technology, such as Vivo, has improved from the latest publication, and now more reliable on the Nexus. Proximity sensor performs its functions and performs better like a charm during the various tests of bone-execution methods to perform.

Vivo pops up with a distinctive camera behind the NEX
I'm just suspicious about the pop-up camera module. It has been done fine through my five-day examination, but in the end, it's still a motorized moving part and those who have a higher rate of failure. I am also wondering what will happen if I remove the phone, or if the camera app is reduced or crashed, the time when the module is out

China has a screen sensor WA Factor under the smartphone Vivo X21
Everything else about the phone groove above but guessable, save for an additional hardware button. The Nexus has the same glass-on-glass design, and even though Vivo has embedded small geometric designs in the back glass, which creates a rainbow when seen from the corner, the look and feel are not new

The OLED panel is available from Samsung so it's nice to see, but I doubt it's an older generation panel because it's not as bright as Samsung's Galaxy S9's screen.

To strengthen everything, set a Snapdragon 845 chip with 8GB of RAM. This is the most powerful combination of Android processing capabilities and memory, and it's only matched by OnePlus 6 and Xiaomi's Mi8 and Mi Mix 2S.

Software and Features

Nex company runs extensively called Android skin called FunTouch, and it is not the software I want. InTouch is heavily influenced by iOS, which means it behaves very differently from Android.

For example, the small-cut toggle in FunTouch is located inside the "Control Center", which requires swiping from the bottom of the screen. The next Android update (9.0) will play a more important role as this swap-up action is already an important part of Android (it is used to bring applications tray up) and launching services on Google swipe. So anyone else jumping on a Vivo device from another Android will have to completely retrain their muscle memory

OnePlus 6 reviews: Top iPhone or Samsung but half price is similar
As mentioned earlier, there is an additional hardware button on the left side of the Nexus, and it is used to trigger VVO voice assistants, named Jovi. Unfortunately, Joby simply understands Mandarin, which means that no one is an assistant to most people.

At the time of my trial, I understood the reasonable intelligent and basic questions in the photo recognition of jabs, but still, there is almost no possibility that Gmail may be smart or useful as Google's own assistant, so anyone using the phone outside China will ignore JoVE and Android already has What is built using

Performance and battery life

Nex runs smoothly for the most part, but I've experienced a couple of crashes with applications such as Instagram, and the phone is not just thunderbolt as fast as OnePlus 6. These Android geeks are a stock Android choice (or something like aplenty like Vanillas) - Android Skins eventually adds an unnecessary extra layer of software that increases the chance of bugs.

Battery life is great for 4000mAh battery, thanks - VivoNex is connected to the Huawei P-20 Pro for the largest cell in a handset. I'm one of the reasons because there is enough clearance for a whole day even for the users too heavy.

Only a secondary camera has been used to detect Vivo Nexus density, which is a natural bok shot with solid edge detection. Photo: Ben Sin
For the performance of the camera, the main camera settings of the Nexus is almost similar to the P-21: a 12-megapixel Sony IMX sensor connected to the secondary 5-megapixel lens that is used only for deep detection.

I found the camera very well, but the shot is not perfectly equivalent and colours are not as straightforward as the XT of the iPhone or Huawei is not as bold and eye-racing as the wide-processed images of the P-20 Pro. In lower light, the larger 1.4-micron pixels of the Nexus makes the odd, even with the great scarf light for the Phoenix 6 and the iPhone X, but there is no similarity with the Samsung Galaxy S9 or Huawei P20 Pro.

Vivo has implemented AI visual identification at its camera software, and it can recognize animals and scenes, although at a very slow pace, like Huawei's NPU-powered phones

The pop-up works fine on the selfish camera, but again - I am concerned about its stability.

Conclusion

The idea of Vivo Nexus was spread in the form of a "concept device" named "APEC" in this year's Mobile World Congress. That demo device caught plenty of media attention, the consensus is that it is a cool idea that will not work in the real world.

Vivo has become a concept in a real work phone within just four months, which is a law of the company's engineers.

Nokia 8Circo Phone Review: looks good, but not quite the top tear
Nevertheless, the biggest reason for the existence of the Nexus is to launch a free phone, but after using a flexible onePlus 6 as well as the Nexus for a few days, I can say very little about the difference between screen immersion. The groove can be a lot of trick of trick, but it does not really get the most daily way of action.

Nex's higher-priced starting price is 4,488 yuan (HK $ 5,336) and factoring in the concern of sustainability of the ongoing camera module, making it suitable for technology enthusiasts and collectors. For the average consumer, a safe purchase will be a cheap Vivo V9 or another Nokia Android handset.
