Chinese handset maker Vivo has launched a new budget smartphone in India — called the Vivo Y12. The handset has been launched in only one storage variant in the country. 

Vivo Y12 price and availability The Vivo Y12 comes in a single storage variant offering 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, which has been priced at Rs 12,490. 

The device is already listed on Amazon India website, which reveals that it will be in stock starting June 21. Interested buyers can also get up to Rs 9,350 off on exchange and opt for EMI options starting at Rs 588.

 The Amazon listing reveals that there is one year of manufacturer warranty for device and six months manufacturer warranty for in-box accessories -- that include micro USB to USB cable, USB power adapter, protective case, batteries -- from the date of purchase Vivo Y12 specifications Available in two colour options — Burgundy Red and Aqua Blue — the Vivo Y12 offers a gradient back design in a mirror finish. On the front, the device offers a 6.35-inch Halo FullView HD+ LCD capacitive display with an aspect ratio of 19.3:9 and 720 × 1544p resolution. 

Powered by MediaTek Helio P22(MT 6762) processor, the Vivo Y12 runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system based custom UI called Funtouch OS 9. For imaging duties, the Vivo Y12 offers a triple rear camera setup comprising a 13MP primary sensor, 8MP super wide-angle sensor, and 2MP depth sensor.

 On the front, there is an 8MP lens with features like face beauty and portrait bokeh. Backed by a 5,000mAh battery, the Vivo Y12 offers Wi-Fi (2.4G + 5G Wi-Fi), Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0, GPS, OTG and FM as connectivity options. 

The handset measures 159.43 × 76.77 × 8.92mm and weighs 190.5g and includes accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, and fingerprint time sensor.

Dubbed the VIVO Y12, the new entrant is already featured on Amazon India where it will start selling from June 21. The announcement is coming just weeks ahead of the planned launch of the VIVO Z1 Pro.

The device is priced at Rs 12,490 for the lone variant with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage with the option to get up to Rs 9,350 off on exchange and opt for EMI options starting at Rs 588. The VIVO Y12 is embedded in a polycarbonate body painted with Burgundy Red and Aqua Blue with a modern-looking gradient finish. It gets a rear fingerprint scanner, as well as a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 13MP primary sensor, 8MP super wide-angle sensor, and 2MP depth sensor, while an 8MO sensor with face beauty sits inside the notch.

On the display the front is a 6.35-inch Halo FullView HD+ LCD capacitive display with 720 x 1544  resolutions, 19.3:9 aspect ratio, 89 percent screen-to-body ratio, while it is powered by the mid-range MediaTek Helio P22 chipset with a 2.0GHz octa-core CPU coupled with 4GB RAM, and 32GB of expandable storage.
